Hearts of Oak have confirmed they are in talks with Ghana international Laryea Kingston to join the club for the rest of the season.
The midfielder, 30, is a free agent after been released by Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem in December last year.
He was heavily linked with English Premier League side Blackpool during the January transfer window but the move fell through.
“It’s true we have been talking to him. You know he’s a free agent after the transfer window was shut in Europe and elsewhere and so we’re hoping he can sign for us till the end of the season so he keep fit,” Board member Alhaji Suleiman Braimah said.
“We want him to use his experience to help the young ones in the team. At least we have nine matches to go and at this stage anything can happen and so we need all the forces we need to help us make the top four at least.”
Laryea, who has been capped 41 times for Ghana, played for the former African champions before leaving abroad.
