At least five vehicles were completely reduced to ashes when a fuel tanker exploded at Ejisu-Besease on the Kumasi-Accra road around 10pm on Tuesday.
It took the Fire Service and other security agencies many hours to bring the raging fire under control, reports Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah.
Vehicular and human traffic came to a halt as scores of people gathered, looking on helplessly as the vehicles burned.
The cause of the explosion is unknown, however, many suspect the fuel tanker may have been faulty.
