The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has urged Christians to use the Easter celebrations to renew their strengths in God. In a press release signed by Nana Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, he said the “resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day is a testimony of a new life of hope, promise and fulfilment for those who believe and work hard towards the achievement of victory.” He further advised Christians to conduct themselves “in a manner that underlines our commitment to the fact that there is confidence of hope for the future of our country.” Read the full press release below As we celebrate Easter, one of the two major festivals of Christianity, I wish a Happy Easter to all Christians and Ghanaians in general. The resurrection of Jesus Christ remains the ultimate demonstration of victory over adversity. As a teacher, Jesus Christ of Nazareth travelled from place to place, preaching about God and how people can learn to forgive and live together in peace and harmony. Through his faith, he made the sick healthy again, the blind see, the deaf hear, and the multitude satisfied. He gave hope to those who had given up. The resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day is a testimony of a new life of hope, promise and fulfilment for those who believe and work hard towards the achievement of victory. Let us celebrate Easter as a real source of hope; that there is a brighter future ahead of us. Let us use this Easter celebration to renew and strengthen our faith in God and conduct ourselves in a manner that underlines our commitment to the fact that there is confidence of hope for the future of our country. May God bless the NPP, Ghana and us all. Signed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo NPP 2012 Presidential Candidate
