On Friday Finance minister-designate, Ken Ofori-Atta appeared before the committee and revealed that $15 million will be put into the Zongo development fund to begin the process of sharing the country's resources equitably.
"All citizens deserve a minimum thresh hold of development," he stated.
The fund was a manifesto promise of the governing party that seeks to address the specific needs and challenges of Zongo communities (communities populated by Muslims) in the country.
Also at the hearing yesterday was Senior Minister-Designate Yaw OsafoMarfo who Justified Government’s intention to review the country’s IMF agreement.
National security minister-designate, Albert Kan Dapaah also said the creation of a ministry responsible for national security will help in the fight against forceful takeovers that characterise a change in government.
Joy FM and the Joy News channel on MultiTV and on myjoyonline.com will bring live coverage of today’s vetting.
