Not for the first time an African footballer has described his switch from one European club to another as "a dream come true".Emmanuel Emenike is looking forward to next season armed with a four-year contract handed to him by Fenerbahce. The Nigerian striker joined the Turkish champions from lesser lights Kardemir Karabukspor in a move which saw US$10m change hands."Joining Fenerbahce is a dream come true," the 24-year-old told BBC Sport."I look forward to playing my part in helping this club win more trophies."I'm highly honoured and very happy to join this big club."I promise to give my all because I'm very happy."Emenike was snapped up by Fenerbahce after attracting interest from clubs in France, Russia and Germany.Apart from meeting Karabukspor's valuation, the Turkish giants also offer what the player deeply craves - Champions League football."It's been a childhood dream to play in the competition and compete against the best players across Europe," said Emenike. He becomes the fourth African on the books of Fenerbahce - the others being compatriot Joseph Yobo and the Senegalese duo of Mamadou Niang and Issiar Dia.The powerfully-built forward made his Super Eagles' debut in February's 2-1 friendly win over Sierra Leone.Source: BBC
