Samuel Inkoom has been forced to withdraw from the Ghana squad ahead of Friday's 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier against Congo.
The full-back suffered an injury in training on Monday.
Team doctor of the Black Stars, Maj. (Dr) Percy Annan has confirmed Inkoom's absence for the Group I qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
"He had a muscle tear in his left thigh which he sustained yesterday in training. A scan today confirmed our suspicion however, he's started treatment," Maj. (Dr) Percy Annan said.
