Popular Ghanaian rapper, Kwaw Kesse believes Kumasi Asante Kotoko will win the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors had a torrid campaign last season which saw Coach David Duncan replaced as head coach with his assistant Michael Osei after 6 matches to arrest the decline in a season which saw Kotoko place 5th.
However,the "Abodam" musician is very optimistic the Fabulous lads will win this season's league based on the players recruited and the unity,good spirit and goodwill existing in the club currently.
Speaking on Ladies Time on Asempa FM as the "Adorable Man of the Day", he revealed that Kotoko is his favorite club in Ghana and predicted good fortunes for them this season.
“The club I support in the local league is Asante Kotoko. Last season they couldn’t win trophies but they have been able to bring in a new coach(Zravko), a new management and very good players so I believe they can win the league this season,all things being equal".
“I follow them (Kotoko) a lot and wish them well always. I also support Manchester United abroad and that is my interest in football”.
The musician also opined that the Black Stars performance keep dwindling off late and appealed for steps to rectify it.
When asked by the host Mavis Amanor, popularly called Fire Lady, on how he sees the performance of the Black Stars, The controversial but favorite rapper said,
“The performance of the Black Stars off late has been consistently inconsistent but we can do much much better because we have the talents but our peers are all leaving us behind", referring to the likes of Egypt and Cameroun who keep winning the AFCON".
