Ace Sports Journalist and commentator Kwabena Yeboah has lunged at Fifa president Sepp Blatter whose administration he described as “tyrannical.”He told Joy FM’s Kojo Oppong Nkrumah the highest football governing body has become synonymous with corruption declaring “never in the history of fifa has football sunk so low.”His outbursts follow weeks of pervasive corruption and bribery allegations against the top hierarchy of fifa officials. The football governing body is said to be in crisis following the suspension of the Asian Football Confederation president, Mohamed Bin Hammam who bribery allegations have been made against.Hammam was in the race for the Fifa top job but pulled out before being banned from all football related activities until allegations of bribery against him have been settled.Blatter was later Wednesday re-elected as Fifa president and vehemently denied any crisis situation in Fifa- the worst, if anything, were problems and not crisis, he argued. But Kwabena Yeboah disagrees with venom. He said Fifa is gradually institutionalising bribery and corruption and has managed to insulate itself from being probed by other institutions. He said the allegations have become so endemic sponsors of fifa such as Coca Cola is contemplating withdrawing its sponsorship. He noted affiliate bodies around the world are gradually adopting similar Machiavellian tactics to ward-off investigations.Kwabena Yeboah called on the affiliate bodies to join hands with England which has been vocal in protesting the continuous stay of Blatter.Story by Nathan Gadugah/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
