Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has finally joined the Black Stars ahead of Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo in Kumasi.
The Marseille winger raced from Accra to join his national team-mates after arriving in the country on Wednesday night.
His arrival for the 2012 Nations Cup qualifier was delayed after an armed robbery attack on his residence in Marseille.
Police investigations in the French city delayed his arrival while his missing passport also complicated his travel arrangement.
With the game only 24 hours away, the midfielder raced to the Garden City to ensure that he catches the team’s last training session on Thursday.
Ayew’s presence means all the players who were invited for camp are now with the team.
Ghana beat Congo 3-0 in the first leg fixture in Brazzaville last March.
