A grand durbar to be held at the Jubilee Park, Kumasi on Saturday June 4, 2011 will climax the 32nd anniversary of the June 4, 1979 uprising.
A statement issued by the Planning Committee of the celebration disclosed that the Chairman of the erstwhile Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) and former President, Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings would be the guest of honour.
This year’s celebration which is under the theme “Unity in Diversity – Our Strength” will commence with a route march in Accra from the Kawukudi Junction through 37 Military Hospital to the Revolution Square where there will be a wreath laying ceremony and the lighting of the perpetual flame.
The durbar at the Kumasi Jubilee Park will commence at 2pm.
The statement invited all true patriots to come celebrate the uprising that stopped the decay.
