The Minority in Parliament has condemned the arrest of an unspecified number of persons accused of releasing a video in which NPP’s Invincible Forces attacked a police officer at the seat of the Presidency.
The NDC released the CCTV footage a fortnight ago as evidence to back claims of gross lawlessness by NPP supporters in the aftermath of the elections.
The video is believed to have been captured on January 9, 2017, and it shows the private security detail of the NPP, the Invincible Forces, force out a state security personnel, ASP Bruce Nanka, amid efforts by other police officers to restore order.
ASP Nanka was part of the guards at the Flagstaff House during the John Mahama administration.

The latter part of the two minutes and thirty-two seconds video captures how some unseen faces broke into the garage of ASP Nanka and towed away two of his vehicles.
Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, said the NDC has been informed that some persons suspected to have leaked the video are suffering in detention.
“They should release those people immediately,” he urged the Presidency on the floor of Parliament Wednesday.
“If they [the NPP administration] believe on the rule of law then if you do wrong and you are caught on camera it is still wrong and it is not for you to trace the person who exposed the wrong,” he said.
He adds that instead of the arrests, the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government must crack the whip on party supporters who flout the law.
“What is important is to right the wrong. Further to this, the President must ensure the cessation of the unwarranted seizure of properties belonging to figures of the NDC,” he admonished.
