Dele Alli saw red as Tottenham crashed out of the Europa League after drawing 2-2 with Gent in the last-32 second leg tie, and going down 3-2 on aggregate.
Having lost the first leg 1-0, Tottenham levelled the tie on aggregate after just 10 minutes thanks to Christian Eriksen's calmly-taken opener.
However, a Harry Kane own goal made it 1-1 on the night, while they were left with a mountain to climb when Dele Alli saw red for a poor tackle on Brecht Dejaegere.
Spurs moved within a goal of qualification when Victor Wanyama scored with 30 minutes to go, but Jeremy Perbet's late strike ensured Gent a place in the last 16.
