The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) says it has begun investigations into how the Brong Ahafo Regional chairman of the association allegedly squandered per diem due his colleagues.
Moses Paa Kwesi Larry is said to have collected monies on behalf of journalists who accompanied officials on assignment and yet failed to disburse the money to the journalists.
Over the weekend some journalists in the region issued a statement calling for his resignation.
But GJA President Ransford Tetteh said the association is investigating the matter.
He said the association will hear from both sides before taking any decision.
Mr Tetteh said the GJA didn’t want to presume anybody guilty until proven so but maintained the regional GJA Chairman could be expelled from the association, suspended or given written caution depending on the seriousness and veracity of the allegations.
