Former Ghana International, Abdul Razak has pledged to win the all elusive AFCON title for Ghana should he be appointed the next Black Stars coach.
The 1978 African Player of the Year confirmed submitting his application to the Ghana Football Association as the search for Avram Grant’s successor goes on.
The “Golden Boy”, who has won league titles in Ghana and Mali is confident of ending the 37 year wait for the title.
“I submitted my application forms yesterday at the GFA secretariat”He told Nhyira fm
“I went to the office after their meeting with the FIFA President, and the forms was received by the receptionist”
“I want to win AFCON for Ghana as an ex-player.”
Abdul Razak played for several clubs in the 1970s and 1980s, notably Asante Kotoko and the New York Cosmos in the defunct North American Soccer League and coached Asante Kotoko and Stade Malien.
