Two quick goals in quick succession from Derrick Sasraku and Daniel Darkwah were all Aduana needed to extend their unbeaten run and hand Hearts of Oak their first defeat of the season.
The Dormaa side maintained top spot by virtue of the result albeit by a superior goal margin ahead of Kumasi Asante Kotoko who have let in the same amount of goals as the 2010 champions.
Fans and pundits had described Aduana's side start as relatively easy but that notion was quickly erased after defeating the Phobians.
And coach of the side, Yusuf Abubakar has described the test against Hearts as the cheapest so far.
“We played a high pressing game to unsettle Hearts of Oak as early as possible to tell everybody that, when we started winning, people were saying that we have met cheap sides that is why we are winning, so if Hearts of Oak have come to add to the cheapest group, we are lucky,” Yusif said.
Up next for Aduana is a tie against Inter Allies in Accra.
