Champions League last 16 second leg, Stadio San Paolo - Napoli 1 (Mertens 24') Real Madrid 3 (Ramos 51', 57', Morata 90+1')
Sergio Ramos scored two headers as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Napoli 3-1 and seal their place in the quarter-finals.
Zinedine Zidane’s side won 6-2 on aggregate after surviving a scare when the in-form Dries Mertens gave the home side the lead.
Belgian Mertens went agonisingly close to grabbing a second when he hit the post while Cristiano Ronaldo also hit the woodwork.
The reigning European champions rallied in the second half and scored two goals in six minutes through their captain Ramos, both from corners.
And despite Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema having an off night, the Spanish side sealed the tie when substitute Alvaro Morata netted in stoppage time to continue their quest to retain the trophy.
