Heavily sort after Morocco coach Herve Renard has given Ghana a slight hint that he could apply for the vacant Black Stars job after pulling out of the more lucrative South Africa job in the last 24 hours.
Herve Renard, who is currently with the Moroccan national team, had been linked with the post as SAFA continue their search for Shakes Mashaba’s successor, however the Siya crew has now been informed that he is no longer in the running.
According to Siya sources, the parties couldn’t agree on terms and SAFA have been forced to look elsewhere for the man to lead Bafana forward.
Carlos Queiroz was originally the first choice for the job as a favourite of Danny Jordaan’s, however SAFA went after Renard following the Iranian FA’s decision to play hardball for the Portuguese coach’s release.
Ghana is currently in a hunt for a new coach after the expiration and nonrenewal of the contract of Israeli Avram Grant.
