Mubarak Wakaso was given his marching orders for Granada as they succumbed to a late goal by Antoine Griezmann in the La Liga game at the Nuevo Los Carmenes.
The tough tackling midfielder was sent off for a second bookable offence in the late stages of the game after their hardwork was undone by the fleet footed French attacker.
Wakaso was shown second yellow card for a challenge on Griezmann from behind as the Frenchman tried to hold up the ball.
He then argued vociferously with the referee, leaving him with no chance than to give the midfielder his marching orders.
His compatriot Thomas Partey was given a rare La Liga start as he lined up in midfield alongside Saul Niguez but he was taken off at half time as Argentine Angel Correa replaced.
