Ghana winger Samuel Tetteh has been ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up a knee injury in Liefering’s 2-0 over FC Wacker Innsbruck.
The former WAFA attacker picked up the injury after performing two step-overs and an unfortunate slip with the resultant effect being a damage to his meniscus.
The best solution was an immediate surgery which will keep him on the sidelines for a lengthy period.
Tetteh has been in fine form for Liefering, scoring ten goals since his move to the Austrian side
He was recently promoted to the Red Bull first team after impressive outings with the second team.
It will be recalled that Baba Rahman picked up a similar injury for Ghana during the African Cup of Nations.
