Ghana’s first and leading English radio station, Joy FM has clocked one million likes on Facebook. The first radio station in Ghana to do so.
As at 8am Tuesday, March 14, Joy FM’s Facebook page had 1,001,539 likes on the social media platform.
Since its establishment in 1995, Joy FM continues to cement itself as a leading private radio station in Ghana.
Till date, the station continues to be the reference point for news and information in the country.
Its presence on social media, an avenue also for sharing of news, photos, videos and livestreams, is unmatched in the media space.
Joy FM has over the years won awards for its activeness on social media. In 2014 and 2015, the station was adjudged the Media House with the Best Social Media presence in Ghana at the Ghana Blogging and Social Media Awards.
Commenting on the latest feat, an official of the station noted that obtaining one million likes on Facebook is testament to the station's reputation as the reference point for credible news, information and entertainment content in the country.
He promised the station will continue to work harder to maintain its place in the media space as well as provide Ghanaians with unparalleled content on social media.
