Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to end Barcelona's domination in the upcoming season and is eager to bring the Catalans "back down to earth".
Barca collected La Liga, Champions League and Spanish Supercup honours last term and their current squad is widely believed to be one of the best teams in history.
Nevertheless, Ronaldo reckons their cycle is about to come to an end, and he is quoted as saying by Vatan: "In order to stop Barcelona, we'll have to beat them. We can only win the league title if we manage to defeat them.
"We will be a lot stronger in the new season and I am confident that we have what it takes to beat them. We will bring Barcelona back down to earth."
The Portugal international also discussed the arrival of new signing Nuri Sahin at Santiago Bernabeu, and he made it clear that he'll do his utmost to help the midfielder settle in at his new surroundings.
The Turkish international comes to the Spanish capital after a sterling season with Borussia Dortmund, and Ronaldo remarked: "I don't know too much of him. I've seen him play in the German league a few times. I will do whatever I can to make him feel at home, though. The important thing is that everybody does his utmost to make sure Real Madrid win trophies."
