Former Brazil international Tostao has joined the long list of admirers of young Santos attacker Neymar, and has claimed that the forward will soon be as good as Barcelona star and Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.
The 19-year-old played a key role in his side's Copa Libertadores win over Penarol last week, and has impressed for Brazil's national side as well in recent months.
The starlet is continually being linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, and Tostao praised his talents, having been quoted as saying by Ansa: "Neymar has the technique and skills that only the greatest players in this world possess.
"I'm sure that he will be of the same level as Messi within four years."
Tostao was joined by 1970 World Cup-winning colleague Rivelino in his words of praise for the Santos sensation, who added simply: "Neymar is the rescue for the art of football."
The forward is currently preparing for the 2011 Copa America with Brazil and will be keen to win his first major trophy with the Selecao.
Brazil have been paired with Paraguay, Ecuador and Venezuela in Group B of the tournament, which is being held in Argentina.
