Former Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah has emerged as the frontrunner for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.
Reports in the media indicate that Appiah and two other expatriate coaches have been shortlisted for the job which became vacant following the departure of Israeli trainer Avram Grant.
Appiah, was sacked after a chaotic World Cup campaign in Brazil which saw the team eliminated in the group stage.
The 56-year-old made history by becoming the first indigenous coach to lead the Black Stars to World Cup but paid the ultimate price for the team’s inability to progress to the next round of the competition in Brazil.
Avram Grant took over from him with Appiah heading to Sudan with Al Khartoum where he has done a decent job so far.
