The supporter’s wing of Kumasi Asante, the National Circles Committee, have called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Referees Appointment Committee, to ban Referee Samuel Sukah from all games involving the club.
This follows what they term as unfair officiating towards the club in the Super Clash fixture against Hearts.
The Executive Chairman of the NCC, Mr.Kwaku Amponsah, in a press release stated categorically that the referee’s appointment of Kotoko games should be put on permanent hold.
“We firmly declare our detestation to the appointment of referee Samuel Sukah to officiate our matches, both home and away.
"His glaring unfair officiating of our 8th week encounter with Accra Hearts of Oak S.C in Accra, smacks of the highest level of unprofessionalism, as his general output significantly affected the outcome of the game, as a result igniting the displeasure of our supporters.
"Due to the outcry of our supporters across the length and breadth of the country, it is advisable for the GFA and the referee's appointment committee to put any of his appointment, with regards to our matches on permanent hold
"It remains our fervent hope that, this petition shall be assented to, to avert any unfortunate happening.
Kotoko are joint top of the Ghana Premier League with Aduana Stars on 17 points.
