Former Ebusua Dwarfs coach, Coach J.E Sarpong, has cautioned former Black stars Coach James Kwasi Appiah not to trust the Ghana Football Association Executives when giving the nod to return to the team.
Coach Kwasi Appiah was the head coach of the Black Stars during the 2014 world cup but got sacked a few months after the tournament.
Three years down the line, and the former Black Stars country could be set to return to the helm after Israel Avram Grant ended his two year reign and coach Sarpong is asking his colleague to be cautious in all his dealings.
“Appiah`s return to the black stars is very good and he will succeed even more than he did during his previous days with the team but he should not trust the Ghana Football Association Executives,” J.E Sarpong told Peace FM.
Another colleague in the coaching world, Christopher Nemley, admonished Kwesi Appiah to do a massive clear out to his backroom staff.
“Appiah should sack the assistant Coach, Maxwell Konadu because he is not good, if he is not good enough to handle the team after four years of assisting, then, it probably means, he is doing nothing at all, or, he is still the Assistant Coach due to some high influence”
"Kwesi should form his own backroom staff he can trust to do the job and have more control of the team and reform the team again by calling new dedicated and active players”
