Gerard Nus has clarified his position on the Black Stars management team, hours after leaving the shores of Ghana and according to the Spanish, he was the first assistant to departed coach, Avram Grant.
Nus left the country on Sunday night after he was settled by the Ghana Football Association for his services for the Black Stars team during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former liverpool U-21 coach spent seven weeks in Ghana fighting for his outstanding bonuses which was paid to him over the weekend.
And he has cleared the confusion about his actual position in the team.
“I have always been the assistant coach of Avram Grant but I hear journalists in Ghana call me the video analyst.
“The video guy or the video whatever, I use the video like I use the book or notebook or like I use many experience to help the players to understand the coach well. Did you see my curriculum?
“I have never been a video analyst or something of that, I have always been a head coach or deputy coach and I was the deputy coach just like Maxwell was also the deputy coach.
The 32 year old Spaniard is currently the assistant technical director of Rayo Vallecano in Spain.
