Ghana Football Association Technical Director, Francis Oti Akenteng, has expressed discontent over the mystery deaths of veteran coaches in the country.
In the last two years, the nation has lost coaching libraries as five great brains have passed on with the latest being Herbert Addo, who died last Friday after battling illness.
Three times winner of the Africa cup of Nations, Charles Kumi Gyamfi was the first to die followed by Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie and Osam Duodu. 'Multi-System’ Sam Arday joined the list before Herbert Addo.
“I and coach Didi Dramani had been with him since he was admitted at the hospital and we were at the scene when the tragedy happened”. He said, it is his prayer that the mercies of God will be their portion.”
“We are losing all the experience coaches in Ghana and that is very unfortunate, these are coaches most of the young guys looked up to.”
Three of the five - Gyamfi, Duodu and Afranie - have so far been buried.
