Shadrack Adu Gyamfi of the Kumasi Anglican Senior High School will fly high the flag of Ghana at the global athletics event designed for athletes under 17-years.

He explained that the 17-year old was the only qualified athlete during the National Championship held last April at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology, Kumasi sports oval.
The GAA Scribe said that participation in the event is by qualification and Adu Gyamfi is the only Ghanaian who made the qualifying mark.
He ran a personal best of 22:16secs. in the 200 metres and 48:49secs. in the 400 metres.
Adu Gyamfi is expected to leave for France on Tuesday to participate in the championship.
The seventh edition of the biennial event will bring together the finest young athletes across the world to battle for honours in track and field events.
