Parliament has approved the much talked about sports regulations legislative instrument.
It is expected to pave the way for the country to be re-instated to the International Olympic Committee.
Ghana was suspended because of perceived governmental influence in the operations of the local Olympic Committee.
The L.I provides for an independent and democratic Ghana Olympic Committee.
Minister for youth and sport Clement Kofi Homadu expressed gratitude to his colleagues for the speedy passage, and said the L.I should end the protracted tussle and confusion at the GOC.
