Cameroon Hugo Broos has denied having contact with the Ghana Football Association over talks of replacing Avram Grant.
The Belgian was reported to have been shortlisted and further interviewed via skype by the six member panel for the role which has eventually been handed to Kwesi Appiah.
Broos was linked after it emerged he was unhappy with the Cameroon FA over poor management and nonpayment of salary, a situation he publicly announced after their friendly defeat to Guinea.
But in a surprise twist, the Belgian has denied having any contact with any federation and has stated he is happy to stay at Cameroon.
"I would like to apologize for exaggeration. I have certainly humiliated the Cameroonian people," Broos said at the presser.
"There is no reason for me to leave Cameroon.
"Forget about my departure or resignation, and don't listen to rumours that I am in negotiations with other federations.
"The FA president and I had already discussed of a prolongation," Broos vehemently denied the obvious.
Broos has also been tipped to take over the vacant South Africa job.
