The Government of Ghana has given the greatest hint yet that it now recognizes the B.T. Baba-led GOC administration as the legitimate group to run the Committee.
The Sports Ministry yesterday handed over the keys of the new GOC offices located at Ridge to a delegation representing the B.T. Baba group.
The gesture is believed to be in response to an instruction from the IOC as the mother body readies to reinstate Ghana into the International Olympic Committee.
The IOC suspended the GOC in January over what it said was political interference.
But Clifford Aboagye, a member of the GOC represented the B.T Baba group when the Sports Ministry handed over the new offices to the group.
He commended government for the gesture hoping it will play a major role in the reinstating Ghana back into the IOC.
