Ghana have dropped out of the top 50 in the FIFA women’s world ranking, as the women's team are now placed at 51.
The second of the quarterly ranking was released on Friday.
After losing 26 points and dropping two places down, the Black Queens occupy the 51st spot as compared to March 2011 when they occupied the 49th position.
However, the women’s team finished second best on the continental ranking table to Nigeria.
According to Fifa, the Women’s World Cup Germany 2011 has clearly left its mark on the latest edition of the ranking.
Despite the changes in the points tallies, there have been no moves in the top five, with finalists the USA continuing to lead the pack, followed by Germany, Brazil, Japan and Sweden.
A total number of ranked teams are 129.
The women’s ranking is released four times in a year with the next release expected in September 2011.
