The Guinness Football Challenge began Season II on Saturday, 23rd July with the first recruitment event held at the Holy Gardens of the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Accra.
The Guinness Football Challenge Season I successfully ended on 8th July, 2011 with Eric Tetteh and Jonathan Yemoh declared as the champion of champions after 10 episodes.
Guinness is once again giving Football lovers all over the country the opportunity to demonstrate their passion for the beautiful game of football.
The event saw raw talents of footballers demonstrating their skills to qualify for the competition for season II; and it was clear from the first recruitment event that the season II holds the promise of greater suspense, drama, rivalry and rewards.
There will be six recruitment events in five cities across the country. After the first recruitment at the Holy Gardens at Circle, the train moves on to the Northern Region for the second recruitment event on July 30 at the Jubilee Park. Kumasi will be the next city to play host to the Guinness Football Challenge recruitment team on the 6th of August at the Prempeh Assembly Hall park in Kumasi. From Kumasi, the train will move westwards to the oil city of Takoradi on the 7th of August at the Jubilee Park to give football lovers the opportunity to rise to the challenge. The fifth recruitment event will be in Ho on the 13th of August at the RTC Park. The final stop for the recruitment train will be in Accra at the Elwak Stadium on the 14th of August.
Guinness is looking for dynamic pairs (friends, siblings, parent and son or daughter – all over 18 years of age) who are ready to rise to the challenge. One member of the pair will need to show that they are a football guru with a strong knowledge across a wide range of football themes; and the other will need to demonstrate their football skills by taking on a series of physical football challenges. If this sounds like you, and you’re ready to demonstrate your potential, come with your friend, family or partner to one of the Guinness® Recruitment Events to try out and see if you have what it takes to be part of the bigger and better Guinness Football Challenge in Season II.
Admission is free and participation remains strictly for persons 18 years and above.
