Ghana’s friendly match against their Nigerian counterpart has been cancelled following safety concerns being raised by the opponents.
Confirming the report is an executive member of the Ghana football association (GFA) Randy Abbey who said they had information from the organizers that the game cannot go on due to security issues.
Randy Abbey said it is unfortunate but believes it is in the interest of all to adhere to the cancellation of the match.
The security concerns were necessitated by some riot that hit the UK three days ago.
He called on football fans and enthusiasts who were looking up to the game tonight to be patient with the FA and organizers of the match.
