Defeated National Democratic Congress Presidential candidate Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings is on a thank you tour of the country.A member of her campaign team and deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Kofi Adams told Joy News the ex-first lady is thanking all who supported and encouraged her before and during the Sunyani Congress, which she lost to the sitting president John Mills.Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings started the tour at her home region in Ashanti on Friday where she vehemently denied allegations that she was demanding five ministerial positions and an amount of money before she will campaign for the party in the 2012 General elections. She then proceeded to the Brong Ahafo Region. According to Kofi Adams, the ex-first lady will visit all the ten regions to complete the golden call for grace and thank you.
He said once Nana Konadu will remain in politics it is incumbent on her to acknowledge the support she has received from the rank and file.In addition to thanking the delegates, the deputy General Secretary said Nana Konadu is encouraging all to register ahead of the elections. He said the team is overwhelmed by the support the grass root supporters have shown in receiving the ex-first lady.Contrary to assertions that the ex-first lady will leave the party to form another or go independent in the 2012 elections, Kofi Adams said Nana Konadu will remain in the NDC to fight the lies and the injustice in the party.
