The CPP, James Kwabena Bomfeh has revealed that the party never presented Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum to serve under the erstwhile Kufour government.
According to Kabila as he popularly called, Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum opted to work with the then New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for his own parochial interest.
Kabila was reacting to the Monday August 15, 2011 edition of the The New Crusading Guide newspaper headlined Kabila is “A Loud Mouthed Empty Barrel” by Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum.
Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum according to the New Crusading Guide newspaper accused Kabila of affiliating himself with the NPP instead of representing the CPP on political platforms in the party bid to attain power in 2012.
However to corroborate his claims, James Kwabena Bonfeh on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday read a letter purported to have been written by Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum to former President Kufour on a possible merger of CPP and NPP when he (Ndoum) is voted flag bearer of the party.
The letter according to Kabila dated June24 2007 stated that “… I am seriously working on how to take control of the CPP; this I have discussed with you before. I am confident that I will succeed in getting my own people to take charge of the CPP in the next congress which would probably be in September or October this year. What I hope to do is to work in collaboration with the NPP in the 2008”.
James Kabila Bomfe said Daily Guide newspaper in their September 1st 2008 edition published excerpts of the letter but Dr. Ndoum never wrote a rejoinder to challenge the authenticity of the letter.
He accused Dr. Ndoum of hijacking the CPP and using his financial stature to buy his way to the flagbearer position of the party in 2012.
The CPP National Youth Organiser observed that Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum is not fit to lead the party in the 2012 elections because ‘he lacks the discipline for political party activism’.
He debunked claims that he is affiliated to the NPP describing the allegations as baseless and unfounded.
“I am somebody who looks at issues very fairly. NPP is not the only opposition party in Ghana and I disagree with them on issues and I will also agree with them on certain issues he said.
Meanwhile Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum served as the Public Sector Reforms Minister under the NPP administration under former President John Agyakum Kufour.
