The Black Meteors Management Committee chairman, Randy Abbey has debunked allegations that he has neglected the team in their preparations to the all Africa games in Maputo, Mozambique.
The Ghana Olympic team secured qualification to the 10th edition of the All Africa Games in Mozambique at the expense of the Nigerian Dream Team 5 after beating them at the Baba Yara sports stadium by two goals to nil.
The Ghanaians had lost the first leg in Nigeria 3:1 after taking the lead, and had to qualify on the away goal rule.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Sports Morning Show on Wednesday, Mr. Abbey stated that, it is never true he has neglected the Black Meteors.
According to him, he always gets in touch with the technical team anytime he is not at the team’s camp.
The Meteors are expected to leave Accra for a training tour of South Africa by the weekend before heading to Maputo for the All Africa Games in September.
