Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure has dedicated his premier league player of the year award to his fans.
Ahmed Toure was voted Player of the Year for the 2010/2011 season by the Premier League Board.
The striker beat Berekum Chelsea’s Emmanuel Clottey and former Heart of Lions midfielder Gladson Awako who is now with Berekum Chelsea for the ultimate award.
Toure’s form in the second round of last season’s league helped Kotoko to turn around a poor start to finish fifth.
In an interview on Asempa Fm’s Sports Morning Show on Wednesday, the striker could not hide his joy for winning the award and promised to work harder for more honours for himself and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Ahmed Toure who is now on a training tour in Serbia with Asante Kotoko acknowledged the support given to him so far by his fans and dedicated the award to them.
According to him, this is the beginning of big things to come to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
