Chairman of Asante Kotoko Dr. KK Sarpong has debunked reports ten players from last season’s Glo Premier League campaign will be sold following the tour of Serbia. The Porcupine Warriors returned to the country last night after a 12 day pre-season tour of Serbia where they played warm up matches with local clubs.Met on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport, Dr. KK Sarpong told Joy Sports' Tony Bebli, “How do you expect that we sell half of the team? Who is going to buy anyway? We are going to sell players who may get contracts that we think are lucrative. If they are lucrative, why not?”The Premier League’s best player, Ahmed Toure was one of the players expected to clinch a deal. The Ivorian has confirmed his camp is considering several offers from clubs abroad. He said, “It’s true, there are so many agents that want me. But, not only the agents, some clubs want me, but now I want to take a good offer to go. I don’t want to rush at all.”Head Coach Bogdan Korak, who is Serbian, stayed in his homeland for a two week holiday and is expected to rejoin the team to continue preparations for the commencement of the premier league on October 9.Meanwhile, Kotoko has confirmed it has loaned five of its youth players, Kwame Boateng, Harif Mohammed, Prince Domfeh, Owusu Ansah and Daniel Kontoh, to clubs in the eastern European country. The move, as explained by the club, is a scheme that will improve the quality of these talents for any imminent transfer deal.
