The Public Relations Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter’s wing, Nana Kwame Danquah has confirmed the sale of some players by the club.
According to the national circles PRO who alsos work at the office of the Executive Chairman, a good number of clubs have expressed interest in the players and the club is also willing to do business with those clubs.
The exodus of key players of the team has become a major issue across the country but Nana Kwame Danquah on his return from Kotoko's Serbia trip pleaded with the teeming fans of the club to bear with the decision since the Executive Chairman has the club at heart and will not do anything that would jeopardize the progress of Kotoko.
He was speaking on Asempa Fm’s Sports Morning Show on Friday.
He explained that the sale of those players is to help Kotoko cater for some of the pressing infrastructural problems that are currently raising the expenditure of the club.
Nana Kwame told Asempa Sports that some of the senior players who are likely to leave are Ahmed Toure, Awal Mohammed, Michael Akuffo, Yaw Frimpong, Gershon Akuffo and about five members of the junior team.
