As Ghana readies for the biggest gospel concert; Adom Praiz 2011, vibrant praise and worship singer, Cecilia Marfo has declared that patrons will experience double portions of anointing on Saturday.
Cecilia Marfo says even though last year’s edition with American gospel Diva, Cece Winans was powerful, this year’s will be explosive as the Spirit of God will move mightily among his people.
She said the atmosphere will be so charged and the glory of God will be so intense that whoever misses out on the night of praise, worship and adoration will have him or herself to blame.
Unlike other artistes on the bill who are performing for the first time at Adom Praiz, this is Cecilia’s second outing; she was part of the group that rocked the stage at the award winning edition of the event last year at the Dome.
On Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, the deep voiced singer charged up the studio as went through her repertoire of songs (including the ever popular Afunumu Ba and Mamire Engu), beginning on a solemn note and upping the tempo as she went along.
Cecilia became very emotional; breaking down in tears as she spoke about the turbulent years she went through before her breakthrough.
She revealed that her miracle came through her worship and entreated everyone to make it to the Dome on Saturday to praise and worship God as they will also receive their break through. “Ei! Whoever does not make it for the program will really miss the awesomeness of our Great God in worship,” she stressed.
She was full of gratitude to Adom FM for giving her another opportunity to perform on the same stage again.
Adom Praiz 2011 will be headlined by another American; renowned praise and worship leader, Dr Ron Kenoly and with some two days for the show to come off, there is intense excitement and expectation on not only the part of Adom FM but among Ghanaians as well.
Apart from Cecilia Marfo, other local artistes performing are the Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Philipa Baafi, Nii Okai, Soul Winners, Stella Aba Seal, Rev Mary Ghansah, Tagoe Sisters, Cindy Thompson and Yaw Sarpong.
Dr Ron Kenoly is expected to arrive in Ghana Wednesday afternoon and will feature on Adom FM’s Drive programme, Ofie Kwanso in the afternoon.
