Head Coach of the Black Princesses Kuuku Dadzie has told JOY Sports he expects an improved performance from his side when they play Zimbabwe in their next group match at the All Africa Games on Thursday.
The Black Princesses struggled to beat COSAFA champions Tanzania 2-1 yesterday in Maputo. Goals from winger Portia Boakye and midfielder Elizabeth Cudjoe secured the points.
In a post match interview with JOY Sports' Tony Bebli, Coach Dadzie said, “I was expecting a win for us. And, I believe that the way the girls played, although we couldn’t play our normal game due to so many circumstances that we went through. But, I believe that going over the first hurdle, come the next game we will improve our performance.”
Despite the victory, Ghana placed second in Group A behind South Africa on superior goals difference. South Africa claimed an impressive 3-1 victory over Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe is expected to make a strong comeback against the Princesses following their disappointing start to the competition.
