Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah has told JOY Sports he is on the verge of regaining full fitness and would make a return to active football next season after one and half years on the sidelines due to an injury.
The ex-Zaytuna player is yet to feature for Kotoko since breaking his shin in a second round Premier League encounter against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in March last year.
Gideon Baah told JOY Sports, “I have my physiotherapists. They have to give me the green light to go ahead and play but personally I feel better than before but not fully fit to play in a competitive match.”
The 19-year-old added that, “I have to train and get fully fit. I think I’m almost there so I can say in the upcoming season I will play for Kotoko.”
Gideon Baah, who still has a year left on his contract with the Porcupine Warriors, has been training with the club after receiving clearance from physiotherapists.
