The outgoing National Youth Organiser of the CPP, James Kwabena Bomfeh, has called on Ghanaians who believe in the ideology of Dr Kwame Nkrumah to join hands with the party and help reposition it as a better alternative to the ‘failing’ National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
“Our house has been rebuilt, it’s properly roofed, there are many rooms in my father’s house; come and stay in and you will enjoy…” said Mr Bomfeh.
He added that with all Nkrumaists under one roof, the CPP can give Ghana what it deserves - an honest, open, transparent government.
Kwabena Bomfeh was speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Monday, commenting on the just ended congress of the CPP which saw Samia Nkrumah elected as new national chairperson of the party.
According to him, the new crop of leaders – led by Samia - has brought confidence and total change to the party and was sure that this change will propel the party to rub shoulders with the other political parties in the country.
He advised the new leaders not to allow themselves to be stampeded into taking hasty decisions, and urged all party members to rally behind them for victory in the upcoming elections.
He claimed that between Sunday and Monday, over 500 people had taken membership cards from him and was hopeful that the calibre of the new leaders will encourage many others to join and support the CPP.
Kabila, as he is popularly known added: “The better government that Ghana was promised in 1964 under the seven-year development programmes,” would see fruition when the CPP assumes the reins of power.
“By the end of this programme, no Ghanaian should want in the basic needs to life - food, water, health, shelter, clothing and above all disease and illiteracy shall be brought under control and where every Ghanaian child shall aspire to the fullest of their educational potentials and that Ghana shall become the economic giant of Africa.”
“This is what we [CPP] are bringing back…buy it,” Kabila exhorted.
