In order to expose the tourist attractions in the Avatime Traditional Area in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region, the chiefs and people of the area have commissioned a recreational park to be used for public events.
The park named “One-pe-one Park” is one of the projects being undertaken by the traditional area under the paramountcy of Osie Adja Tekpor, to create jobs for the youth as means to reduce migration to urban centers as well as expose the area and make it a preferred tourist destination in Ghana.
The Avatime Tradiotional Area is blessed with a variety of tourist attractions that have not been exploited, compelling the chiefs to take the lead in exposing attractions such as the serene and temperate weather, a mountain view, caves, canyons, waterfalls, mountain forests, historic cultural and heritage sites and game reserves.
Osie Adja Tekpor who commissioned the “One-pe-one Park,” charged the locals to make sure it is maintained to the highest standards, in order to attract the targeted patrons.
