With just 19 days to the start of the Ghana Premier League, head coach of Heart of Lions, Hans van der Pluym has quit his post leaving managers of the club shocked.
The Dutchman, who guided the Kpando based side to a quarter-final exit at the ongoing Glo8 competition at the weekend, has cited personal reasons for his decision to leave the club.
Heart of Lions team manager, Yashin Laryea told JOY Sports, “Coming out of the G8 competition with a coach only for him to tell you that he is quitting his job is very disturbing.”
Heart of Lions must now appoint a new coach before their Premier League opener against newly promoted Wassaman United at the Kpando Park on October 9.
