Produce Buying Company (PBC) says it is expecting its recognition as Ghana’s Most Prestigious Company to facilitate the process towards enhancing its investment fortunes.
The company is advancing moves to reduce its government shareholdings after offloading the 11 percent stake that was held in trust by NTHC.
This forms part of moves to address the disparity between its strong financial results in the last four years and its rather declining stock price.
PBC’s Deputy Manager in charge of Operations, George Boateng explained to Joy Business, the company’s number one position in the latest Ghana Club 100 rankings should enhance the process.
He added that PBC’s recognition as Ghana’s Most Prestigious Company should provide a boost to the cocoa industry and the agric sector as a whole.
Mr. Boateng also outlined moves towards a major transformation in the company’s investment strategies by next year.
