Deputy National Propaganda Secretary for the ruling National Democratic Congress, Solomon Nkansah says “Ghana is a confused state” because the country lacked proper planning.
He said it is unfortunate that projects that were done during Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s regime with small population at that time are being used now that the country has over 24 million people.
Solomon Nkansah made this observation during a panel discussion on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Thursday on the water shortage that has hit parts of the nation’s capital.
Water shortage has hit parts of Accra and Tema for close to one week with residents struggling in search of water for domestic use.
He added that Ghana is endowed with rivers, lakes and streams, yet vital commodity like water is difficult to access.
Solomon Nkansah therefore asked the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) to call for a National Crises Meeting to brainstorm on how best to develop the nation.
He suggested that the National Economic Dialogue should be replaced with the suggested crisis meeting for accelerated development.
