Goalkeeper Sammy Adjei has not given up on his ambitions to chart his way back into the Black Stars.
The former Moaden Ashdod net minder returned to the domestic league last term to revive his career.
He made an impact in Hearts’ faltering campaign and was named in Ghana’s home-based national team at this year’s CHAN tournament in Sudan.
Adjei was invited by head coach Goran Stevanovic in June qualifier against Congo but never made it to the bench.
The 31-year-old is refusing to give up and says getting back into the Black Stars dominates his wish list for the season.
“I just want to get back and play football for Ghana. That’s what I’ve done for a long time but it’s been taken away from me. I’ve missed it,” Adjei said.
“I’ve helped them get better and I hope that will happen again when I get back to the team again,” he added.
