Berekum Chelsea go head-to-head with FC Nania in the Super Cup in a bid to continue their amazing start ahead of the new season.
The Premier League champions take on Nania, FA Cup winners in the traditional curtain raiser for the new season on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Chelsea, whose quest for a double last season was ended by Nania after the second-tier side edged them out of the FA Cup in the semi-finals are sure of getting one over Abedi Pele's side in the Sly Tetteh Super Cup - Super Cup rechristened in honour of the passing of the former Liberty Professionals President.
Orlando Wellington, assistant coach at Berekum Chelsea at a pre-game press conference on Friday, said his side are in form after claiming the G8 Cup.
“We cannot lie low to succumb for the second time to Nania. Another defeat will make our League triumph price-less,” Wellington said.
Despite their hopes of beating Nania, the Chelsea coach admitted being wary of the Division One side.
“We respect them and are aware they have a youthful side. We have brought on board some new players and hope they can lead us to annex the title.”
The Super Cup is played between the premiership champion and FA Cup winner to precede the start of the football season.
Kick-off is @ 15:00 GMT (3:00PM local time)
